so after saying i'd do it for months.. it's finally done on july 13. new layout, people!

i was "challenged" to make a layout that would work in IE and other browsers.. given that the current one i'm using is mozilla firefox (which is 1908308123810212 times better than IE, by the way) i figured it made sense. the only downside is that.. well, lots of the cool stuff you can do with xanga is designed for IE-only. oh well..

a few days later, the girl had an accident and became a human
vegetable. The guy then placed a letter by her side, and here is the

Now can you talk? No! Therefore I cannot love you.

Because of your care and concern, I like you.. Now that you cannot show them, I cannot love you.

Because of your smile, because of your every movement, I love you..
Now can you smile? Now can you move? No, therefore I cannot love you...

If love needs a reason, right now, there is no reason for me to love you anymore.

But does love need a reason?
I still love you... Because love doesn't need one.

was gonna write a heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, deeply-moving entry
about this past year, the shit that's happened, the good times that
came & went, bonds that've been broken and friends that've been
made, and a whole list of resolutions & wishes &
hopes & dreams for the new year, but then i realized if you wanted
that you could read the other 98123238292 xangas out there. and really,
no one but the people involved truly give a shit about how your year
was, so why bore people by talking about it? no reason. no reason at
all.

so all i'm gonna say is this. people always fool themselves
into thinking "new year, new start." but a new year is never truly a
fresh clean slate for you to draw on. all it is, is another day that
people ages before us decided was the end of one measurement of time
and the beginning of another. what makes today different than any
other day of the year? nothing. you don't
suddenly drop all forms of contact with the people who, when
you're around them, make you dislike yourself. you don't suddenly find
yourself surrounded by people who are, to your definition, the "ideal
friends". you don't wake up to find yourself in a relationship with the
guy/girl that is the perfect compliment to you, cream to your sugar
& butter to your toast. where am i going with this? i don't know
myself. just something that occured to me tonight, seeing all this
stuff about "i'm gonna make myself a better person" and whatnot. i
guess what i really mean is this: you wanna change yourself? don't
expect a miracle. don't think writing 2004 instead of 2003 for a date
is gonna make a difference. let's just all take this one day at a time.. little by little, bit by bit. and eventually, you'll look back and see that you are different from how you were before, even if you didn't notice the changes as you woke up each morning.
