you know what? birthdays are pretty pointless. a birthday is just another day. turning one year older doesn't make you look older.. act older.. it doesn't make you any different from the person you were the day before your birthday. 17 is just another meaningless number.. i'm supposed to be "more mature" now but guess what? i still make the same stupid mistakes i made when i was 16. and 15. and 14.
argh.. trying to improve yourself to be the person you want to be instead of the person you are is so hard to do. =[

everyone changes over time, u just dont notice it. yes, you can make the same mistakes again, but u know what? who cares. after a while, u will finally learn.
no, birthdays do seem ordinary, and they dont make you magically more mature. but birthdays arent abt that. it's a celebration of you. it's being around people who are grateful that you were born and who are celebrating your existence with you.
